Those with 5.9m 2V Ducatis will need to purchase replacement FIM 5.9 ecu.

With purchase of MBPDucati.ca Testarosso headwork (either through Ca Cycleworks or directly) are included port matched short intake manifolds, custom machined cam end caps and specially constructed one piece oil line. Internal to the heads come new large sized stainless valves with special tulip design, new Mn Bronze valve guides, oversized Beryllium Copper Valve Seats, and MBP desmo valve retaining system (MBP DVRS). The heads come preassembled, ready to install.
    Currently available for:

  • Carbureted SS models customer only supplies heads
  • 750 and 900 injected SS or Monster models customer supplies heads, intake manifolds, and 1.5m ecu
  • 800 and 1000 injected SS or Monster models customer supplies heads, intake manifolds, and must purchase u5.9 ecu

Options:
Note the two upgrade options listed: dual spark and combustion conversion. The dual spark option is straight forward enough... and Ca Cycleworks has Dyna 5 Ohm dual outlet coils on hand for those chosing this upgrade. The combustion conversion, however, is unique to MBP Ducati! This modification is to convert your "hemispherical" combustion chamber to the preferred "bathtub" style prevalent on the 900 2V heads. Some Monster 900s circa 1997 and 1998 have "W" stampings on the left side of the cylinder head. This conversion reshapes the combustion chamber to be similar to 900 heads with "V" stamps. Note that the 800 heads are able to match the final flow figures obtained with 900 heads. Also, 620, 750, and 800 heads are roughly interchangeable.

What you get:
Carbureted models: all parts listed in the description of the heads above as well as a special fitting for the oil supply line, set screws to block off the original oil supply, and the proper tap.

Heads + FCRs kit: The above as well as a pair of FCR41 singles, jetted to a unique baseline developed by MBP Ducati and Ca Cycleworks. You also get the adaptors for the air filters but you will need to buy them separately. The air filters are not included due to the varied prices of the different options.

Injected models: all parts listed in the description of the heads above (your manifolds are matched to the intake ports) as well as a special fitting for the oil supply line, set screws to block off the original oil supply, and the proper tap. Air filters sold separately. Note that having an injected Monster or Supersport represents a $724 cost savings due to not having to purchase the FCR41 singles carburetors and their air filter adaptors. Also, the cams in Monster 900ie and SS900ie are similar to the ST2 cams and are better than carbureted 900 cams, representing another $700 in savings. For more information and cam specs, see Brad Black's cam specs page.

More about "maximum impact":
To get the most from your engine, you need to take the extra steps outlined in this technical article. You can purchase pistons, cylinders, ST2 cams, adjustable pulleys, squish wax, and thin base gaskets separately. The additional costs of these parts can add about another $1800 to the build. And then someone needs to build it. Ca Cycleworks charges $1000 to do the assembly detailed above. And then you get to dyno tune the bike, which is like another $400. Yes, that's right, to shoot for the big number, you get to spend about $6600 in total on the rebuild.

Can we build it?
Sorry, no. Ca Cycleworks is not performing service work at this time. We are focussing on product development.
