Tomorrow (Sunday), we're dirving up to Willow Springs to spectate the November WSMC race weekend. Some friends are leaving CA next month and this is the last chance to see them. Plus, I'm bringing up the WebGuy and my lady friend to introduce them to motorcycle racing.

News update: A lot of time has been spent on moving my ducatitech website to its new host. There have been other improvements with the Cycleworks site, too. More php work has gone into the checkout process. We're fervently working on a database driven solution for the catalog, cart, and checkout. We found a provider that offers the flexibility to fill the near term needs as well as give us the flexibility to also behave the way we ultimately want as far as the look of the catalog and the listing of products.

After a day of work, we had a shop staff dinner at Dave n Buster's then headed over to Little Italy for the Ducati Owners Club San Diego's bimonthly gathering. It was great to see new local faces but I was bummed to miss Gerald H. We go back a handful of years! DOCSD post.

Nothing too special to report. Buying parts and a few orders waiting on parts to arrive. Thursday will have some orders ship that were waiting on us to get goodies from Nichols Mfg. I need to get some time spent in the shop and not on the computer!

Tuesday evening, I initiated the big move for my information site, www.ducatitech.com. That seems to be ok for now, so it's naptime for a few hours and then up and at-em to get some orders shipped out!

As you may notice, our web guy got the RSS feed to the site working! He and I both have been doing a ton of work on the technology that runs on the site and in the back office. Unfortunately, the website visitor doesn't get to see much until the final couple steps of our months of work.

A “flash flu” tried to get me last night, but somehow, I managed to dodge that bullet. I don't mind being busy, but I don't want a flu attacking me! It got Scott, too, as he's on a sick day.

I said we'd be in today. Well, more like tonight. I helped a friend move today, which went into the evening. Then a ride to dinner. And now to get caught up on a few loose strings before the start of the next work week.

Thanks to the SoCal Monsters for coming to our Pizza gathering tonight! It was great for y'all to come and make my shop feel more like a home! It's always been a dream of mine to have folks want to gather at my shop & it was great to see it. A value added bonus is that hosting the gathering is that I was motivated to clean up the shop a bit. The green room was pretty trashed so I tidied that up. I'm taking a “me” day tomorrow and will be back in the shop Sunday to get some work done.

BTW, to Y&R: I know I need to get your Aprilia going … one of my customers tonight was giving me grief about it still being around! Don't worry, I haven't forgotten y'all.

We'll be working late Friday nite, so feel free to stop in and get some pizza. If you actually want pizza to be here, you may want to let us know you're coming so I can order enough pies.
BTW, yesterday was an “Average long day” for me… in around 11am and leave around 5pm to get dinner, feed my mutt, and get a massage. Then back to the shop at 10:30 and I was here until 4:30am. I normally do something like this 1 to 3 times a week. We won't be here Saturday but will be on Sunday.
