Exciting news — we are shipping the new "battery" version of our large capacity MH900e endurance racing tank.

The (pdf file) attached to this document is a supplement to accompany the existing instructions for installing the original version of the tank. The only additional parts required are a longer starter cable, M6 screw, and a spacer. There are no permanent alterations required for this REV-B "battery" tank to be installed and work. We are ecstatic to announce our OEM replacement fuel pumps for the latest generation of Ducati motorcycles! All models 2001 and newer with a “fuel pump flange plate” utilize this pump we are now selling. Instead of having to spend $600 to $800 to replace the entire assembly, California Cycleworks can sell you a new pump for $150. Our pumps are manufactured to our exacting specifications by an ISO certified factory. Dealer inquiries welcome.

We’ve had our hands full the past few weeks! A track day to have some fun, then a round of computer purchases so we are looking forward IT-wise. Add in some catalog maintenance, and we’ve been burning the midnight oil!

Our latest development is a large capacity fuel tank for Monsters. Initial goal is for it to bolt on to plastic tank’d 2V monsters. The Testa powered S4Rs and 07+ S4R have a different shaped fuel flange… R&D will be needed for fitment on those. Animated pic:

Your “Dark” Ducati isn’t dark without one of these! We’re excited to announce stocking of the EK BLACK motorcycle drive chains! Not grey-black like other brands, BLACK. We have a picture of one on our silver and black 2003 Ducati Monster 620 and think it would be amazing on a Monster Dark or 749 Dark! This would probably be a great addition to any of the black painted models like the black S2R1000, black and tang S2R800, and black Multistrada MTS1000.

Cycleworks is proud to announce exclusive Mahle Racing 91mm pistons for 750 and 800 2V engines, which bring discplacement to 800 and 859 cc. We're working on the information to add these to our catalog but are $499 for the pair of pistons, rings, wrist pins, and clips. Send your cylinders off to Millenium for bore and replate.

In other news, we've hired a new shipping clerk and have otherwise been working on keeping up with orders.

Haynes updated their Ducati 2V Monster / SS manual to include up to year 2005! So the “new” SS is in it. We're a little curious about how they handle the different Ducati Monster models, as those had quite a few changes. Check our maintenance items catalog page for a picture of the cover.

Also, we'll be closed again this Monday. Our Project S2R was so much fun at Fontana, we're taking it to the DOCSD track day at Streets of Willow.

We're now listing Zard exhausts! Check it out on the exhaust page of the catalog. In further news, we're very close to shipping the MH900e large capacity fuel tank. We made a subtle change to the design and we're going to put some miles on a couple MH's and get in the instructioin manuals then we'll start shipping. 

This is a great week for the special projects. I delivered the SS-ie to the exhaust makers and now they've got both generations of SSs as well as all 5 2V engines fitted to the SSie. So we'll be making underseat full exhausts for carby or injected SSs with these power plants: 620, 750, 800, 900, 1000DS.

The fuel tank manufacturer is done with their prototype and we go up to LA tomorrow to visit with them. I'm bringing with me the tank from Zina's MH#21 so they'll have reference to an OEM tank. The tank from #1636 was consumed in the fab process. From here, they'll need to make any necessary changes to the moulds and once finalized, production “only takes a few days”. Then I drive up to LA again and fill up my van and trailer with tanks! After this, we buy all the parts and pieces needed to complete the kits and then arrange a photo shoot for the instructions.
