New Vendor added! Look for Leo-Vince exhaust systems!

Friday, August 17th, 2007

We have just updated our Ducati Exhaust Systems page to include our newest vendor, Leo Vince. Leo Vince makes full exhaust systems for Ducati 1098, 999R, 999, and 749R Superbikes. Leo Vince makes oval slip-on mufflers with Titanium, Carbon, and Aluminum outer skin for Ducati’s popular Monster family: Monster S2R1000, S4R, S2R800, M1000ie, M900ie, M900, M800ie, M750ie, M750, M695, M620ie, and M600.

Leo Vince also offers aluminum slipon offerings for Ducati’s Multistrada MTS1100, MTS1000 as well as the Sport Touring ST3. The MTS mufflers have an attractive cone-shaped end cap that works well with the tail of the bike.

Staintune price increase

Friday, May 4th, 2007

We got notification that Staintune pricing has gone up approximately 9%. The prices as shown in the catalog are “old pricing” and each section has a reminder that we will confirm actual cost before continuing with your order.

We apologize for the inconvenience, but do please consider how this reflects the US Importer's drive to keep prices as low as possible — when the dollar is strong the US$ price of staintunes imported will decrease. Over the last 10 years, we have seen Staintune muffler and exhaust system prices go up or down about every year. And the price for the average product is comparable to 1995!

Hard work Thursday

Friday, November 10th, 2006

Apologies to everyone e-mailing or calling on Thursday, as we put everything on hold to focus on other matters. We made a very good trip to one of our LA vendors. Once there, we stayed almost 3 hours reviewing the project! Once back in San Diego, we took a dinner break to attend DOCSD’s bike night. After, we were back at it. Matt took product pics for our upcoming sale and Chris got to work setting up our new tire changing machine.

Pizza - Brake Tech this Saturday!

Friday, May 5th, 2006

This Saturday at 3pm is our track day prep pizza tech event. Participants will learn some of what we do to minimize distractions or setbacks at track days and maximize the fun! Also, participants are welcome to a Repsol oil special: buy a gallon (or 4 liters) of Repsol oil and get a K&N oil filter AND Repsol Nicky Hayden tee shirt! Also, 15% off for ohlins shocks!

Friday news: We're headed to LA to pick up the first of our MH900e fuel cells! A few more arrive Tuesday for prototyping and once we've installed them on a few bikes, we'll fire up the first big batch.

Our partner MBPDucati.ca wins on PS1000!

Wednesday, May 3rd, 2006

Ca Cycleworks technical partner Guy Martin and his company MBPDucati.ca had a great race meeting at the Parts Canada Road Race Nationals first round. With a talented rider piloting the way, Martin's well prepped Paul Smart 1000DS broke the lap record by over 4 seconds and won by 7 seconds.

See the bike on Ducati North America's website.

Monster Challenge is coming…

Tuesday, December 6th, 2005

This weekend’s trade show went well and will help Cycleworks bring some new parts to the market soon! Sorry for those with “stale” e-mails: I’ll try to get on those today. We’re winding up for the Monster Challenge at this weekend’s Cycle World show. We were asked to bring the Project S2R up. It isn’t “bling’d out”, but they wanted something other than the typical carbon bikes… :)
